Choice
Mental process of thinking involved with judging the merits of multiple options and selecting one; directed contingency.
Class of models
Sufficiently similar and worked-out hypotheses and scientifically testable implications so that they have the potential of making significant common predictions and providing significant common explanations of phenomena.
Coevolution
A change in the genetic composition of one species (or group) in response to a genetic change in another. More generally, the idea of some reciprocal evolutionary change in interacting species.
Communicative design
An object designed with the ability to communicate (information transfer).
Complexity
The condition of being multi-faceted, intricate, and compounded.
Conjectural design
A phenomenon in which design is claimed to be a part of its causal history, yet the claim is not well-founded because of a lack of sufficient evidence.
Contextuality
A phenomenon exhibits counterflow based on it's location or context. Used in conjuction with artificiality by SETI in their attempt to detect extra-terrestrial intelligence.
Counterfactual substitution
The direct violation of a natural law. Synonymous with "miracle."
Counterflow
Events or phenomena that result contrary to what, in the relevant sense, would (or might) have resulted or occured had nature operated freely. (Ratzsch, p. 5, ISBN 0791448940)
