Talk:Defining Design

From ResearchID.org, a nexus for researching Intelligent Design

I think the best way to proceed on this page is to define each of these in the glossary first. In the glossary article we could make the word a link to a research page on the word. Then after definitions we could arrange some sort of hierarchy. I could use help if anyone is following what I'm doing here, Del Ratszch's book (bib. below) comes in really handy if you'll be chipping in on this one. Ratzsch's treatment of design is the most thorough and well-written text on design that I have ever put my eyes on. For the purposes of more in-depth research of intelligent design, I would recommend this book over every other book currently available.

Additionally, as we go through this we can distinguish between definitions of design and means of detecting design, unless somehow and means of detection renders an authentically different type of perceived design. -- JosephCCampana 22:50, 9 April 2006 (CDT)
This list can also be arranged by: Primary Marks, Secondary Marks, Design detection methods (ways of verifying design as an effect). -- JosephCCampana 08:40, 12 April 2006 (CDT)

Examples

I think clear and NEW (never or rarely invoked) examples would be helpful here. Maybe paragraphs describing examples and their relationship could be elucidated after the list of definitions. -- JosephCCampana 10:18, 18 April 2006 (CDT)
